When reading, I do take a lot of notes and for my Ph.D., I often need to summarize them and review them in order to make sense of all the thoughts I have developed during my readings. What I publish here are sorts of commented summaries of these notes which help me get a general overviews of the books or articles I have selected as bibliography for my dissertation, while at the same time sharing a bit of the behind-the-scene aspects of my research. Stuff that probably won’t appear in the final draft!
So, don’t hesitate to comment on these kinds of personal reviews and to offer me your own views of these resources, if you have also read them.
The Global Transformations Reader – 9 september 2007
Recently, I have discovered an amazing tool: Zotero! This little beauty, made by scholars for scholars, distributed for free, makes it possible to easily produce bibliographies by allowing you to either enter manually the data into the forms or to grab it directly from Web directories, such as Amazon.com. This has decided me to publish lists of books and articles that I have used or plan to use for my Ph.D. dissertation. Since my readings cover both French and Anglo-saxon literature, there are titles in both languages.
