In this section, I present the other research projects I’m working on, besides my Ph.D. projects, and publish updates about their progresses. As said in my introduction to this blog, not all the material is in English, but I try, as much as possible to translate the texts that are originally in other languages.
In this project, initiated by the Professor Jean-Marie Bouissou from the Center for International Research and Study in Paris, an international group of scholars has gathered in the Manga Study Network, in order to find out more about manga readers in Europe and how they receive these stories, initially aimed for a Japanese audience. The theories and methods are mostly based on sociology, but other fields are also put to contribution, like political science, media & communication studies, or linguistics.
